alice nine dibentuk di bulan April 2004 dengan personil yang sama seperti sekarang, yaitu Shou (ex Givuss) pada vokal, Tora (ex Givuss) dan Hiroto ( ex BAQUEPIA) pada gitar, Saga (ex Visage) pada bass dan Nao (ex Fatima) pada drum. Segera setelah dibentuk band ini mengadakan live pertama mereka di Ikebukuro Cyber dan terus tampil dimana-mana, termasuk pada event “PS Company present: Tribal Arrival Vol. 81”.
Bulan berikutnya mereka merilis maxi-single pertama Namae wa madanai, terbatas 1000 kopi dan langsung habis selama masa pre-order berkat fans dari band – band terdahulu mereka serta massa yang tertarik setelah melihat pertunjukan mereka sebelumnya. Mereka kemudian mengeluarkan cetakan kedua dari Namae wa madanai di bulan Agustus terbatas 3000 kopi, yang juga terjual habis. Dalam masa ini mereka mengadakan tur two-man dengan band indie lainnya Ayabie. Puncak tur ini diadakan di Shibuya O-East dengan tiket yang terjual ludes.
Di bulan September band yang masih terbilang baru ini bergabung dengan PS Company (label dari grup – grup seperti The GazettE, Kaggra, dan Miyavi) dan tak lama kemudian merilis mini album pertama mereka. Sama seperti rilisan alice nine sebelumnya, mini album ini juga dijual terbatas dan berhasil mencapai posisi ketiga Oricon Indies chart. Mereka juga mengadakan tur two-man kedua mereka. Kali ini mereka menggandeng Karen. Tur ini lebih besar daripada tur mereka sebelumnya saat bersama Ayabie. Tur kali ini membawa mereka ke seluruh pelosok Jepang dengan pertunjukan yang lebih banyak. Mereka terus bermain sampai akhir tahun. Menutup tahun pertama mereka bermain pada event yang diadakan di Holiday Shinjuku.
alice nine, menggebrak 2005 dengan mengadakan one-man pertama mereka di Liquid Room-Ebisu. Mereka juga berpartisipasi dalam sejumlah event lainnya selama Februari dan Maret, termasuk sebuah live di hari Valentine, yang bertempat di Electric Land Lady. Pada tiga bulan berikutnya mereka mengeluarkan tiga buah single lagi. Kemudian band ini menghabiskan bulan April dengan bermain sebagai band pembuka Kaggra - band yang berada di label yang sama dengan mereka - selama tur 2005 mereka. Di bulan Juni, mereka mengadakan two-man tur lagi dengan Ayabie. Kali ini jauh lebih panjang dari tur mereka terdahulu, membawa kedua band ini keliling Jepang.
Di bulan Juli alice nine yang baru saja selesai tur dengan Ayabie kembali mengendarai bis tur mereka untuk berpartisipasi dalam “PS Company presents: Tribal Arivall Tour 2005” bersama dengan Kra dan bis, keduanya merupakan artis PS Company pada saat itu. Band ini juga merilis mini-album kedua mereka yang bertajuk ALICE IN WONDEЯLAND tanggal 27Juli untuk menyenangkan fans mereka. Setelah musim panas yang melelahkan band ini beristirahat sejenak di bulan Agustus dan September. Mereka hanya tampil sekali serta mengadakan beberapa in-store event. Saat udara jadi lebih dingin, alice nine malah kembali memanas. Dengan tampil di Shibuya O-West bersama Duel Jewel dan Soroban pada bulan Oktober sebelum dirilis-ulangnya CD – CD mereka terdahulu. Ketika bulan Desember tiba, alice nine ikut bagian dalam “Peace & Smile Carnival Tour” yang diorganisir oleh PS Company, sebagai label dari artis – artis yang tampil di acara tersebut. Pada bulan ini juga fan club mereka dibuka.
Tahun 2006 alice nine membuka tahun dengan merilis DVD live pertama mereka berjudul ALICE IN WONDEЯLAND FILM dan diteruskan dengan merilis tiga buah single baru. Salah satu single tersebut tampil pada sebuah seri animasi. Bulan berikutnya mereka mengadakan tur one-man pendek untuk merayakan dibukanya fan club baru mereka, yang membawa band ini ke Osaka, Nagoya, dan kemudian kembali ke Shibuya. Di bulan April alice nine merilis album pertama mereka, Zekkeishoku. Di musim panas alice nine beristirahat sejenak tetapi para fans tidak ditinggalkan lama dengan dirilisnya DVD kedua mereka, NUMBER SIX. Kali ini berisi sebuah film pendek yang ditulis oleh sang gitaris Tora beserta sebuah video musik dan beberapa cuplikan behind-the-scene. Bulan Oktober mereka mengeluarkan single yang hanya dijual di internet, Blue Planet. Single ini hanya bisa diakses dengan menggunakan kartu kredit Jepang. Mereka kemudian mengakhiri tahun dengan bermain di berbagai event, termasuk perayaan Beat Shuffle yang diadakan tanggal 30 Desember.
Band in melangkah di tahun 2007 dengan sejumlah rilisan baru, termasuk sebuah DVD, single baru, dan photobook. Mungkin berita yang paling luar biasa bagi fans internasional mereka adalah ketika mereka berpartisipasi dalam event “Jrock Revolution” yang diadakan di Los Angeles, California. Setelah ambil bagian dalam event multiband yang diadakan di akhir Mei ini, mereka kembali merilis sebuah single baru di bulan Juni dengan judul WHITE PRAYER.
